Frequently asked questions

What changes for me as a previous SIMSme user? And what remains the same?

As of now, you as a previous SIMSme user will find the ginlo app under its new name in your app store. It’s waiting for you with a fresh new look and improved usability. All features you’re used to, your password, existing chats and groups, subscribed content channels… all this will remain as it is, so you can seamlessly continue to use it. Your SIMSme ID becomes your ginlo ID and also your SIMSme Private and Business contacts are automatically on board. ;-)

As a previous SIMSme user, do I have to reinstall ginlo or register a new account?

No, just update the app and you’re done. :-) To get the update, open your app store, search for “ginlo”, and tap “Update”. If you’ve enabled auto-updates in your smartphone’s settings, you don’t have to do anything.

Does ginlo remain free of charge?

Yes, ginlo is free of charge – also for you as a previous SIMSme user. With ginlo for private users, we rely on a traditional business model and finance the messenger for private communication via the ginlo Business app, the secure messenger for companies.

What about privacy in ginlo (previously SIMSme)?

Privacy is deeply rooted in our Brabbler DNA and an integral part of all our products. We’re specialized in encrypted digital communication, located in Munich, and act under German legislation with servers exclusively in Germany.

Is personal data passed on to the content channel partners?

No, we don’t pass on personal data to third parties at any time. ginlo offers you as a user to receive content from your favorite magazines or blogs directly in ginlo instead of subscribing to their newsletters. The content channel partners distribute this content in ginlo (via RSS feed).

Who stands behind Brabbler?
